Brother Wolf Foundation This is a proposal to develop a sanctuary in Northern Wisconsin for unwanted domesticated wolves. It would serve as an educational center to further the cause of reestablishing wild wolf populations, and to renew awareness of the ancient wolf-human relationship.
The Teaching Drum Outdoor School Learning earth ways and skills is important in the process of reconnecting with our intrinsic selves, and with the Earth, our first Mother. At the same time, it is not enough. We need to peel back the layers of habit and convention that inhibit us from communing with the natural world, and we need to reawaken our innate sensory and intuitive abilities. Being fully functioning humans able to hear the voices of our ancestors, communicate with animals, and revel in our personal power is what a native calls Walking in Balance, and the Teaching Drum's purpose is to facilitate our return to Balance.
